Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Athlete of the Week

The Dairy Farmers of Manitoba High School Athlete of the Week is Bailey Kreusch of the Souris Sabres basketball team.

Captain of the Sabres she has helped lead them to a berth in the Provincial AA Girls Basketball Championships.  Averaging 14 points and 7 rebounds per game she has shown tremendous leadership on the court and off.  Coach Trever Penner states, "She is one of the best defenders in AA basketball and leads the team in court time.  She is never outworked on the court and is a fearless player who strives to be her best every shift.  Simply put, she is our heart and soul."  Earlier in the year she was selected to the AA Provincial Volleyball All-Star team and as a Graduating All-Star.

This grade 12 student maintains a 90% average, while also spending countless hours volunteering with scorekeeping and officiating all levels of basketball.
