Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Athlete of the Week

The Dairy Farmers of Manitoba High School Athlete of the Week is Emilia Banmann of the St. Mary's Academy Flames basketball team.

Banmann has been playing basketball at St. Mary's Academy since grade 7.  For the season she has been averaging 26 points, 18 rebounds, 2.8 steals, 5.8 blocks, and 2 assists per game.  Athletic Director Adriane McElrea states, "She is a very committed player and an excellent student athlete. She can play and defend all 5 positions, she's a threat to score anywhere on the floor and she demands a double team the entire game." 

This grade 12 student maintains an academic average of 97% and has sign to play at the University of BC next year.
