Braden was the assistant captain and a leader on the team. He was the top defensemen and played a variety of roles on the team both on and off the ice. He was a team mentor to the younger players and played both right and left side as well as paired with all other defensemen. Braden also participated in football and was the starting defensive back on the undefeated Vincent Massey Team. He has been on the student council for four years, is a mentor group leader, helped organize a food drive for the local food bank, and participated and fundraised for the school’s major production. He has been a gold medal winner at the school each year which recognizes participation and leadership in the areas of academics, athletics, school service, and performing arts. Braden maintains an academic average of 95%.
