Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Athlete of the Week

The Dairy Farmers of Manitoba High School Athlete of the Week is Mia Sawatzky of the W.C. Miller Aces.

A multi-sport athlete, Sawatzky is coming off a very successful couple of weeks.  She finished first at the Zone 4 Cross Country Championships, then 4th overall at the Provincial Cross Country Championships in Killarney.  She also led her Aces soccer team to the Zone 4 Championship and then to the schools first ever Varsity Girls Provincial Soccer Championship.  Capping off the weekend by being named the Provincial MVP.  Athletic Director Tim Brock states, " Mia's resume speaks for itself when it comes to her accomplishments in sports. Not one to look for praise but deserves everything that comes her way. She is seen as a leader and looked up to by both her peers and the younger groups."

In grade 12, she maintains a 94% academic average while also participating in volleyball, basketball, badminton, and track.
