Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Athlete of the Week

The Dairy Farmers of Manitoba High School Athlete of the Week is Whitney Rozdeba of the Hamiota Huskies volleyball team.

Whitney has been a dominant force in the middle helping her team reach the finals in 4 different tournaments. During those tournaments she finished top 2 in kills, aces, and led the team in hitting percentage and blocks. She was an integral part of the Huskies 2nd place finish at Niverville this past weekend, stepping up big when her team needed her most in the semi finals, racking up 7 blocks. She finished the weekend leading the team in kills and blocks. Coach Mason Metcalf states, "Her consistency allows her teammates to feel comfortable no matter the situation they are put in. Whitney can take control of the game in multiple different ways. Whether it's from the service line or at the net by getting a big kill or timely block, Whitney steps up when she is needed most."

In grade 12 she maintains a 92% academic average.
