Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Athlete of the Week

The Dairy Farmers of Manitoba High School Athlete of the Week is Izabella Mann of the Miles Macdonell Buckeyes hockey team.

Izabella is a force to be reckoned with for her Buckeye's team. She currently is the top goal scorer and second overall in points in Division 1 of the Manitoba Women’s High School Hockey League.  In 5 games played she has 10 goals and 1 assist.  On November 4th, she scored 6 goals in a 8-1 win for the Buckeyes over the Shaftesbury Titans. Coach Janelle Yarjau states, "Izabella is not just a goal scorer, she is a play maker. She can be relied on both offensively and defensively on the ice. She is a two-way player constant battling for the puck and making strategic plays. 

This Grade 10 student is enrolled in both French Immersion and the Pre-International Baccalaureate program. She is an Honour Roll student and maintains a 94% academic average.
