Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Athlete of the Week

The Dairy Farmers of Manitoba High School Athlete of the Week is Natalie Maguire of the Deloraine Colts volleyball team.

Maguire recently helped the Colts to Gold at the Provincial "A" Girls Volleyball Championships held in Gretna.  For her efforts in the championship, she was selected as Player of the Game for their match against Gilbert Plains, and the Championship MVP.  Principal Tony Franklin states, "Natalie consistently lead her team in both defence and offence.  She attacked the ball with power and intention each time she swung.  She was always able to cover a large amount of the court when keeping balls up and in play.  She had a near perfect serving percentage during the provincial weekend and entire season.  Natalie is a quiet leader that her teammates relied on every game." 

In grade 12, she maintains an 85% academic average.
