Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Athlete of the Week

Cédric Gousseau of the College Louis Riel Voyageurs badminton team is this week’s Home Run Sports Urban High School athlete of the week. Cédric and his partner, Colin Rémillard, were champions in boys’ doubles at the Collège Louis-Riel and Maples tournaments, helping their school to win the aggregate title at both tournaments. They also won the SCAC zone championship and will participate in the Provincial Badminton Championships May 3 & 4 in Winnipeg. Coach Robert Stanners states, “Cédric is a soft spoken athlete that remains focused throughout a game. He strategically uses the right blend of finesse and power strokes to win rallies”. In grade 12, he maintains an average of 93%
