Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Athlete of the Week

Patricia Salceda of the Sisler Spartans badminton team is this week’s Home Run Sports Urban High School athlete of the week. This mixed doubles player along with her partner, Jan Salceda, won the Zone 1 Championships and went undefeated while winning the gold at the Provincial Badminton Championships. Coach Jan Watters states, “It is a unique combination to play a sport with a sibling. They are able to effectively communicate, collaborate, tolerate, appreciate each other, and excel in sport. Patricia has height, quickness, and an excellent court sense”. This grade 12 student also participates in the school band.
