Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Athlete of the Week

Brent Wiebe of the W.C. Miller baseball team in Altona, is this week’s Tri-Star Rural High School athlete of the week. This 6’0” pitcher and catcher lead the Aces to gold at the Provincial High School Baseball Championships. He led the team in most offensive and defensive categories throughout the weekend and was named the Championship MVP. Coach Jeff Andrews states, “Brent possess exceptional leadership skills and a work ethic that is second to none. He is always involved striving to perform at the highest level on the diamond and gives his teammates a positive spark of energy when needed. Brent’s play throughout the season was a huge contributing factor to the Aces successful championship run”. This grade 12 student also participates in hockey.
