Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Athlete of the Week

This 5’5” girls’ doubles player along with her partner, Cora Sang, won the gold medal at the College Louis Riel Invitational tournament this past weekend. Helen is the defending provincial girls doubles champions and is off to a good start on her way to attempting to defend that title. Coach Martin Balcaen states, “Rarely have we seen anyone who works harder and gives more of herself to all facets of our badminton team than Helen. She truly leads by example at practices by helping our younger players learn the intricacies of their game, while constantly striving for excellence on the court with hers. I can honestly say that Helen is the most dedicated athlete to her sport I have ever coached”. In grade 12, she maintains an average of 94%.
