Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Athlete of the Week

Gabrielle Delorme of the Ecole Regional St. Jean-Baptiste Saints badminton team, is this week’s Tri-Star Rural High School athlete of the week. This 5’5” girls doubles player along with her partner, Megan Fraser, were champions at the Gimli, Carman, and Maples tournaments. They most recently won the Zone 4 Championships earning a spot at this weekend’s Badminton Provincials in Winnipeg. Coach Marc Morin states, “Gabrielle is very dedicated to our badminton program. She is a goal oriented athlete, who displays great focus during competition. Her athletic ability and her aggressive competitive spirit are two of her key assets”. This grade 12 student maintains an 80% average, while also participating in volleyball and track & field.
