Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Athlete of the Week

Ayob Ayob of the Kildonan East Reivers Basketball team is this week’s Home Run Sports Urban High School athlete of the week. This 6’6” post/forward led his team to victory at the Kildonan East Tip Off tournament averaging 30 points and 13 rebounds per game, throughout the tournament. In the finals against Sisler he scored 35 points and added 12 rebounds, and was named the tournament MVP. Coach Michael Page states, “Ayob leads by example, his teammates look to him. He works hard at his game on a daily basis, and has the ability to play outside, inside, and bring the ball up the court”. In grade 12, he maintains an average of 68%.
