Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Athlete of the Week

Tynan Reyes of the Garden City Fighting Gophers Basketball team is this week’s Home Run Sports Urban High School athlete of the week. This 6’6” post led his team to victory at the Brandon Sun Spartan Invitational where he was named MVP and averaged 26 points and 13 rebounds for the tournament. In the championship game he had 39 points and 19 rebounds. Coach Phil Penner states, “Tynan has steadily improved over his years at Garden City. At 6’6” he has an incredibly soft touch around the basket. He is a very hard worker in practice and has been an absolute pleasure to coach”. In grade 12, he maintains an average of 80% and also competes in volleyball.
