Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Athlete of the Week

Junior Sesay of the Oak Park Raiders Basketball team is this week’s Home Run Sports Urban High School athlete of the week. This 6’2” guard is averaging 28 points, 12 rebounds, and 7 assists per game. He has led his team to an undefeated league record thus far, and was selected MVP at the Luther Invitational in Regina and Great Raider Shoot-Out. He also earned all-star honors at the Wesmen Classic and Brandon Sun Spartan Invitational. Coach Jon Lundgren states, “Junior’s drive to improve and his love of the game is why he is such a successful athlete. In addition to his athletic abilities he is coachable and humble which makes him a leader by example on our team”. In grade 12, he maintains an average of 70%.
