Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Athlete of the Week

Kerilynn MacLennan of the Oak Park Raiders Basketball team is this week’s Home Run Sports Urban High School athlete of the week. This 5’11” forward has helped lead the team to the Pembina Trails Classic and Westwood tournament championships and was named a tournament all-star at both events. She is averaging 22 points and 11 rebounds per game. Coach Murray Brown states, “Kerilynn is one of the hardest working players I have coached. She has made the decision to maximize her work to get all she can out of the game. It is impossible to be around Keri and not be impressed by her work ethic. This in turn makes the team lift their work habits to meet hers. She is truly a leader by example and deserves all the success coming her way”. In grade 12, she maintains an average of 75% and also competes in volleyball.
