Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Athlete of the Week

Keith Appah of the Portage Trojans Basketball team is this week’s Home Run Sports Urban High School athlete of the week. This 6’2” guard is the Trojans leader on the court, excelling on both defense and offense. In West Winnipeg Athletic Conference play he is averaging 25 points per game. Coach Janey McDonald states, “When Keith walks on the court he brings with him a work ethic that rubs off onto his teammates. He consistently shows up and is ready for whatever challenges he faces in practice or games. He is able to motivate his team on the court or off the court, he is the first one to cheer us on, and will do whatever is needed to fire up his team on the court.” In grade 12, he maintains an average of 88% and also competes in soccer.
