Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Athlete of the Week

Arizona Wilkinson of the Murdock MacKay Clansmen track & field team is this week’s Home Run Sports Urban High School athlete of the week. This 5’7” runner at the recent KPAC Championships finished 1st in the girls 800m and 3rd in the 1500m qualifying for both events at the upcoming Milk Provincial Track & Field Championships in Selkirk June 7-9. Coach Murray Guenther states, “Arizona is a very determined and internally driven athlete who is constantly pushing herself to be the best. She respects the amount of work it takes to achieve success and continues to learn what it takes to win. She is also a very polite and respectful athlete who enjoys having other successful athletes around her”. In grade 9, she maintains an average of 90%, while also competing in basketball and badminton.
