Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Athlete of the Week

Jenilyn Monton of the Oak Park Raiders basketball team is this week’s Home Run Sports Urban High School athlete of the week. This 5’5” guard averages 14 points and 11 assists per game this season, while leading her team to the Milk Provincial “AAAA” Final Four. She was selected MVP at the Pembina Trails, Westwood, Piper Classic, and Tri-Prov (Edmonton) tournaments while receiving an all-star at the Raiders Classic. Coach Murray Brown states, “Jenilyn is an extremely talented player who is also an incredibly hard worker. Jenilyn wants to maximize her abilities and has set a tremendous example for her teammates. She has led our team to a great season”. In grade 12, she maintains an average of 75%.
