Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Athlete of the Week

This 6’3” middle and left side recently lead the Panthers to victory at the Subway Provincial Junior Varsity Championships in Niverville for Glenboro's first every JV Boys Championship. He was chosen as Provincial MVP and was also selected as a Zone 6 All-star. Coach Keith Braaksma, “Matthew has always been a leader both on and off the court. He continues to lead by example and is very supportive of everyone on his team. He attitude has enabled him to continue to improve every year. Matthew continues to ask to spend time after each practice to continue working on his skills knowing that one of his parents is in the parking lot waiting. Matthew has excelled at every sport he participates in our school and will be a leader for a few more years to come.

This grade 10 student also participates in basketball.
