Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Athlete of the Week

The Home Run Sports Urban Athlete of the Week is Jared Nielsen of the Lord Selkirk Royals Volleyball Team.

This 6’1” left side led his team in kills winning the KPAC Junior Varsity Championship and then went on to be named the MVP at the Subway Provincial Junior Varsity Volleyball Championships, which the Royals won. Coach Ryan Penner states, “Jared is a strong, talented athlete. He leads our team in kill efficiency and is a vocal leader on and off the court. Jared has the ability to elevate his play and the play of those around him in big game situations.”

This grade 10 student maintains an 87% average, while also participating in hockey.
