Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Athlete of the Week

Rebecca Babiak of the Kelvin Clippers Women’s Hockey Team is this week’s Home Run Sports Winnipeg High School athlete of the week. 

This Clippers centerman is leading her team in scoring with 11 goals and 5 assists and sits second in league scoring.  During the annual homecoming game she broke out with 4 goals and 2 assists.  A combination of a great skater and hockey knowledge makes her a dominant player every time she gets on the ice it is no wonder that Rebecca was chosen for the WWHSHL All-Star Game.  “Rebecca leads by example.  She works hard during practice, games and off the ice.  She loves the game and is committed to doing everything she can to succeed.  Our Captain is a great role model for our young team” states Sam Tougas.

Rebecca a grade 10 student maintains a 90% average and competes in Track and Field and Handball.  She also coached Handball at River Heights.
