Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Athlete of the Week

Carly Vanderhooft of the Miles MacDonell Buckeyes volleyball team is this week’s Home Run Sports Winnipeg High School athlete of the week. 

This 5’9” setter led her team to victory at the Royal Rumble tournament held in Selkirk.  Coach Nadia Melon states, “She is a very consistent player, who brings leadership and intensity to every game.  Very athletic and is able to stay calm under pressure situations, two great qualities to have in a setter.”

In her grade 12 year she maintains an academic average of 88%, while also competing in cross country running, basketball and soccer.
