Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Athlete of the Week

Jeanine Froese of the Garden Valley Zodiacs of Winkler soccer team is this week’s Tri-Star Rural High School athlete of the week.

This 5’7” striker captained her team to the Zone 4 Soccer Championship, scoring a goal in the semi-finals and three more in the championship game. At this weekend’s Provincial Soccer Championship in Swan River she will be attempting to win her 4th straight title.  She was named MVP of the soccer provincials the last two years.  Coach Jo Voth states, “She makes everyone better. She blends exceptional physical talent, keen competitiveness and a spark for life that makes her team want to have as much fun as she is having.”

In her grade 12 year she is maintaining an academic average of 85% and also competes in basketball.
