Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Athlete of the Week

Andrew Letkeman of the Steinbach Regional Sabres soccer team is this week’s Tri-Star Rural High School athlete of the week.

This 5’6” midfielder captained his team to the 2010 Provincial High School Rural Soccer Championship this past weekend in Swan River.  For his efforts and terrific playmaking throughout the tournament he was selected as the championship MVP. Coach Steve Rebizant states, “One of the most skillful soccer players in high school game right now.  One of the most skillful players I have coached, great team leader, motivator, sportsman.”

In his grade 12 year he is maintaining an academic average of 76% and also competes in volleyball and basketball.
