Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Athlete of the Week

Erin Teschuk of the St. Mary’s Academy Flames cross-country team is this week’s Home Run Sports Urban High School athlete of the week. 

This 5’6” runner led her varsity girls cross country team to the provincial title, while also winning gold as the individual overall champion. Coach Demetro Danyluk states, “Erin is an excellent team member, willingly shares her knowledge with our inexperienced runners to help them prepare for races.  Has encouraged other St. Mary’s girls to join track and cross country. She is successful because she is very coachable, works on her mechanics and understands the pains and gains of putting out extreme efforts in training and races.”
       
In her grade 12 year she maintains an academic average of 80%, while also competing in track & field.
