Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Athlete of the Week

Breanne Sytnyk of the Shoal Lake Sharks volleyball team is this week’s Tri-Star Rural High School athlete of the week.

This 6’0” middle has led her team to three tournament victories this year at the Grandview, Glenboro, and Rocanville (Saskatchewan) tournaments.  She is averaging 8 kills and two service aces a game.  Coach Scott Martin states, “Breanne is a very coachable athlete who works hard each practice to become a better player. As co-captain she is a stabilizing force on the floor for our younger players during games.  She exhibits a real joy for the game that keeps our team energized and focused.”

In her grade 12 year she maintains an academic average of 88%, while also competing in soccer, badminton and basketball.
