Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Athlete of the Week

Jeff Bernier of the Linden Christian Wings volleyball team is this week’s Home Run Sports Urban High School athlete of the week. 

This 6’1” left side helped led his team to the championship at the annual Spartan Dig tournament in Brandon.  He averaged 8 kills, 2 stuff blocks and 2 services aces per match and was named the tournament MVP.  He has also led the Wings to an undefeated record in league play this season.  Coach Manfred Glor states, “Jeff leads by example and possesses excellent volleyball acumen.  He is able to plan the best attack and helps his teammates to succeed.  Jeff has put in a lot of extra time to become the volleyball player that he is today.”
       
In his grade 12 year he maintains an academic average of 81%, while also competing in curling.
