Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Athlete of the Week

Sarah Gobin of the St. Claude Olympiens volleyball team is this week’s Tri-Star Rural High School athlete of the week.

This 5’7” left side has been a force for the Olympiens, leading them to victory at the Treherne and MacGregor tournaments and 3rd place at the Portage tournament, where she was selected as an all-star.  Coach Courtney DeSpiegelaere states, “Sarah is a natural leader. She works hard and pushes her teammates to step it up at every practice. Her passion for the sport is contagious and many of her teammates look up to her. Sarah hits the ball hard, passes very well and has a nice jump serve.”

In her grade 12 year she maintains an academic average of 87%, while also competing in badminton and track & field.
