Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Athlete of the Week

Kristian D’Ignazio of the Kelvin Clippers football team is this week’s Home Run Sports Urban High School athlete of the week. This 5’10” quarterback passed for 134 yards and two touchdowns, while running for a third touchdown in the Clippers win over Crocus Plains. He leads the league in touchdown throws with 9, completion percentage of 76% and is second in yardage with 620 yards. He has also rushed for 4 touchdowns this season. Coach Jon Romu states, “Kristian has a positive attitude, leads by example, is very knowledgeable, and knows where everyone is on each play. He wants to learn more and get better with every practice”. In grade 12, he maintains an average of 98%, while also competing in soccer.
