Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Athlete of the Week

Amber Moffatt of the Rorketon Rockets curling team is this week’s Tri-Star Rural High School athlete of the week.

This 5’7” skip and her team went undefeated throughout the play-offs to win the Zone 8 Championship, qualifying them for the Provincial Championships.  “Amber brings a lot of knowledge and experience to the game, but her best asset to her team is her calm and relaxed demeanor”, States coach Dave Sigvaldason, “They are a relatively young team so this type of presence is very comforting to the team and allows them to just go out and play”.

In her grade 12 year she is maintaining an academic average of 85% while also participating in volleyball, badminton and track & field.
