Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Athlete of the Week

This 5’7” guard lead the Lightning to a 20-0 season culminating in the schools first ever Zone 12 Championship.  She averaged 25 points and 12 steals through the play-offs, and scored 30 points in the league final. Coach Cam Kroeker states, “Aina is the best and most complete player that I have coached and likely ever will coach. She is very teachable, encouraging, hard-working and humble. She has the ability to completely take over games with her great hands, good court vision and most of all her ability to go coast to coast and finish at the basket while often taking on 2 or 3 defenders. She is pretty much unstoppable when in the open court”.

This grade 9 student maintains an 95% average.
