Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Athlete of the Week

Brianna Solberg of the Miles Macdonell Buckeyes Volleyball team is this week’s Home Run Sports Urban High School athlete of the week. This 5’10” left side currently leads her team in kills. So far this season she has lead her team to a second place finish at the Crocus Plains tournament and to third place finishes at both the Lord Selkirk, Westwood, and Spruce Grove tournaments. Coach Nadia Melon states, “Brianna is a pleasure to coach. She is very gifted athlete who has the ability to make everyone at ease and feel welcome on the team. Brianna has a wonderful sense of humour, and uses that to help unite the team”. In grade 12, she maintains an average of 91%.
