Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Athlete of the Week

This 5’4” point guard led her team to the Varsity AAA Girls Zone 4 Championship.  She then followed that up by helping her team qualify for the Provincial AAA Basketball Championships by winning their inter zone qualifier versus St. James Collegiate.  Coach Tim Brock states, “Erica is the engine that gets our team running. She demonstrates great ball handling skills, and looks to have the ball in her hands in crunch time. She leads by example, and never quits on a play. It has been an absolute pleasure coaching Erica this year, and you can really see how well she thinks about the game in the discussions we have during breaks. She is the type of individual you would want to build a team around”.

This grade 12 student maintains a 95% average, while also participating in soccer, fastball and track & field.
