Manitoba's Credit Unions Scholar Athlete

Paige Small of Treherne Collegiate – participates in Cross Country Running, Volleyball, Basketball, Badminton, Fastpitch and Track and Field.  Paige was a captain and zone all star in volleyball, captain and top scorer on her basketball team.  She was chosen an All Star at Basketball Provincials and also was chosen to receive the “Players Choice” Award.  She was selected as a rural athlete of the week.  Paige maintains a 98% academic average and has received the Governor General Award and is on the Honour Roll.  Paige is very active in her school and is part of the Leadership group, grad committee, choir, as well as volunteer figure skating coach, instructing swimming and tree planting and other community activities.

Paige states: “I have learned many skills that not only benefitted me on the court/fields, but also benefit me in life.  Skills such as perseverance, hard work, and cooperation are just a few of the many attributes I have gained from participating in High School Sports.  Overall, high school sports have had a huge impact in my life and have made me a better person.”
