Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Athlete of the Week

The Tire Recycle Rural High School Athlete of the Week is Candace Whitford of the Hapnot Kopper Kweens soccer team in Flin Flon.

This midfielder for the Kopper Kweens led the team to victory at the Neepawa Invitational Soccer Tournament, where she had 3 goals, and a shootout goal, in 3 games.  Coach Dean Grove states, “Candace is one of our co-captains and provides a great deal of leadership in addition to being one of our top offensive players. She is a multi-sport athlete who competes in volleyball, soccer, basketball, badminton and track, and is an honour roll student academically. Candace is a very dedicated soccer player and a pleasure to coach”.  

This grade 12 student also participates in volleyball, basketball, badminton, and track.
