Athlete of the Year

Kristi Hunter, of Goose Lake High School in Roblin, is the “AA” Female Athlete of the Year.  Kristi was captain of the Goose Lake Raiders Volleyball team, leading her team in kills, blocks and digs.  She received 3 Player of the Game Awards in a team bronze medal performance in the “AA” Volleyball Provincials.  Kristi also received the Dr. Dale Iwanoczko Memorial Volleyball Scholarship, was ranked #4 in the Winnipeg Sun’s Top Ten Player rankings, named to the Graduating All-Star Team, the All Manitoba Team, selected for the Mike Burchuk Award and named MHSAA Athlete of the Week.  In Basketball, she was named to the Graduating All-Star Team and the All Manitoba Team, as well as finishing with a bronze medal at the “AA” Basketball Provincials.  Kristi recently finished third in the senior girls high jump at the Provincial Track & Field Championships.
