Athlete of the Year

Stefan Bouw of Mennonite Brethren Collegiate is the “AAAA” winner.  Stefan excels in both volleyball and basketball.  He was selected as the top male volleyball player in the Winnipeg Sun’s annual Top Ten Player Selections.  As captain, of the volleyball team, he led his team offensively and defensively to the Final Four, where he was named to the all star team.  In basketball, Stefan led his Hawks to a silver medal and was again named to the All-Star Team.  He averaged 15 points and 12 rebounds per game.  Stefan also competed in the graduating all star game for both of these sports.  He was a recipient of the Dr. Dale Iwanoczko Memorial Volleyball Scholarship, and was part of the Gold Medal winning Canada Games Volleyball team.  Recently, Stefan was selected as the MBCI Athlete of the Year for the second consecutive year.
