Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Athlete of the Week

Rebecca Early of the Treherne Tigers basketball team is this week’s Tri-Star Rural High School athlete of the week. This 6’0” post helped her team to a big win in zone 6 league play this past week scoring 28 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists against the #2 ranked Glenboro Panthers. Coach Dave Matskiw states, “Rebecca is a player that shows her leadership through consistent modeling on and off the court. One of the hardest working players I have coached, with high expectations of herself and her teammates. She is a fierce competitor that will consistently step up and meet any challenge on or off the court”. This grade 12 student maintains an 84% average, while also participating in volleyball, cross-country, curling, track & field and fastpitch.
