Athlete of the Year

Erin Maitland of Virden Collegiate was selected as an all-star as Virden Collegiate, moved up to the "AAAA" category to capture the 1996 High School Volleyball  Championships.  Her team also captured the fastball championship and she was selected Most Valuable Player.  She also participates on the grad committee.  She participates in community volleyball and fastball and is a member of the Manitoba team that will be participating in the Canada Games.
