Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Athlete of the Week

Jessica Ferguson of the William Morton Warriors basketball team in Gladstone is this week’s Tri-Star Rural High School athlete of the week. This 5’7” forward is a co-captain for her Warriors team and has been averaging 17 points per game so far this season. She was also selected as an all-star at the Elm Creek tournament. Coach Donovan Nemetchek states, “Jessica has an excellent work ethic and attitude. She is an excellent role model for our younger players, working out on her own almost every morning, great work habits in the classroom, excellent sportsmanship, and plays whatever role is asked of her”. This grade 12 student maintains an 85% average, while also participating in Volleyball.
