Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Athlete of the Week

Mackenzie Murray of the Glenboro Panthers basketball team is this week’s Tri-Star Rural High School athlete of the week. This 5’5” wing/guard is co-captain of the Panthers and has dominated in the offensive zone averaging 17 points per game. She was an all-star at the MacGregor tournament which the Panthers won averaging 16 rebounds per game throughout the weekend. Coach Michael Jefferies states, “Mackenzie has been one of our team leaders for the entire season both on and off the court. She is very coachable and a good teammate. She has great basketball smarts and makes everyone else around her a better player”. This grade 12 student maintains a 97% average, while also participating in baseball, cross-country, volleyball and track & field.
