Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Athlete of the Week

The Tire Recycle Rural High School Athlete of the Week is Caitlin Wilkinson of the Ste. Rose Celtics basketball team.

This 5’9” guard helped her team to get off to a great start by going 4-0 and winning the Gladstone Winter Classic tournament.  Through the tournament she averaged 22 points and 15 steals per game.  Coach Marc Hazlewood states, “I've never had a student thank me for coaching after every bus trip we take, but that's Caitlin. She has a unique ability to make everyone around her feel appreciated. She's a true leader both on and off the court, and has been instrumental in building our program here in Ste. Rose”.

This grade 12 student maintains a 97% average, while also participating in golf, cross-country, volleyball, baseball, badminton, and track & field.
