The Tire Recycle Rural High School Athlete of the Week is Kim Waldner of the Rosenort Redhawks basketball team.

This 5’6” power forward who is averaging 15 points, 13 rebounds, and 5 steals per game. She was recently named MVP of the Annual Winter Girls Basketball Classic in Dominion City where she averaged 26 points and led her team to the championship title. Coach Jared Dueck states, “Kim is a great leader and has a strong ability to shoot the ball and drive to the basket. She plays the game hard and has a fearless attitude and is always trying to improve on different aspects of her game”.

This grade 12 student maintains an 87% academic average, while also participating in volleyball & badminton.
