The Tire Recycle Urban Athlete of the Week is Ariel Kiliwnik of the Miles Macdonell Buckeyes basketball team.

This 6’0” post has received numerous player of the game awards, and was an all-star at the Buckeye Classic.  She is averaging 17 points per game along with 11 rebounds and help lead the Buckeyes to the KPAC championships.  Coach Karl Schroeder states, “Ariel is easily one of the best big athletes in high school girls basketball. She has tremendous quickness and is a tough competitor. She is definitely among the most improved players this season for the Buckeyes.  A lot of the Buckeye success this year is because of the strong commitment and excellent team spirit the players have. Ariel has been a huge part of building the unity and caring environment that is part of being a Buckeye”.

In grade 12, she maintains an 85% academic average, while also participating in soccer.
