The Tire Recycle Rural High School Athlete of the Week is Lexie Tetrault of the St. Jean-Baptiste Saints badminton team.

This 5’11” ladies singles player won this weekend at the College Louis-Riel Varsity Badminton Invitational going undefeated through the tournament. This season she has won 5 tournaments, St. Jean, Carman, Garden Valley, Carman, Louis-Riel, along with a third place finish at Maples Collegiate.  Coach Sheldon Bouchard states, “Lexie is a quiet but very determined athlete. She exudes a very calm court presence which can mask a competitive spirit. Being tall and athletic is a big plus. This year she has shown the ability to make important adjustments during matches that have allowed her to succeed”.

This a grade 12 student, maintains an 85% academic average, while also participating in volleyball.
