The Tire Recycle Rural High School Athlete of the Week is Quentin Sylvester of the Ross L. Gray Raiders basketball team in Sprague.

This 5’8” point guard lead the Raiders to their 4th consecutive Shevchenko Varsity Boys Basketball Tournament Championship over the weekend. Quentin led the Raiders win an average of 35.7 points, 2 assists, and 7.7 steals per game. He was also named tournament MVP. Coach Rob Stradeski states, “Quentin demonstrates tremendous leadership both on the court and in the classroom. He is constantly working with younger players on improving their skills. He is always in the gym working on his game and improving his skill level. Quentin is a coach's dream to work with.”

This grade 12 student maintains a 77% academic average.
