Stonewall (AAA)

Lyle Ogilvie of the Stonewall Rams Hockey team is this week’s Home Run Sports Urban High School athlete of the week. This 6’2” winger has helped the Rams to three victories in their last 4 league games. He scored the game winning goal against the league leading St. John’s Ravenscourt Eagles, while adding two more goals in a 2-0 win over College Jeanne Sauve. This past weekend he led the team to a top four finish at the Brandon tournament scoring the overtime game winner in the quarter finals. He leads the Rams in scoring with 7 goals and 6 assists in 13 games. Coach Kyle Nixon states, “Lyle’s value to his hockey team is much more than goals and assists. He is consistently one of our hardest working players, and sets a positive example for his teammates on and off the ice”. In grade 12, he maintains an average of 86%.
