Samantha Hink of the Pembina Lady Tigers hockey team is a co-op of Pilot Mound and Crystal City is this week’s Tri-Star Rural High School athlete of the week.

Hink has helped lead her team to a 12-2 record and first place in the Zone 4 Hockey League.  She is the current league leader in goals and total points with 17 goals and 10 assists for 27 points.  The Lady tigers have won all four tournaments they have played in including this weekend’s Pembina Lady Tiger Tournament where Hink was named MVP.  “Samantha brings both experience and leadership to the team and has been a very positive influence for the younger girls”, states coach Grant Caldwell, “She is having a great year and she is a great kid and a pleasure to coach”.

In her grade 12 year, Hink maintains an academic average of 85%.
