Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Athlete of the Week

The Dairy Farmers of Manitoba High School Athlete of the Week is Ranya Narwal of the Fort Richmond Centurions badminton team.

Narwal won the gold medal in the Varsity Girls Singles category at the Provincial Badminton Championship this past weekend, where her dominant play not only secured her own title, but also helped her school, Fort Richmond Collegiate, win the Provincial "AAA/AAAA" Aggregate Banner. Coach Nicola Dirks states, "Ranya has had an incredible high school career, also winning the provincial singles category in grade 10 and 11, never losing a single match." 

Narwal is also a member of the school's student council, is a tutor with the Learning Buddies Network and maintains a 95% academic average.
